The current economic situation has created a great ministry opportunity for the church. Many people are in despair right now. We are looking into a new gathering and coffee ministry for people who are "between jobs right now". I was out sourced after 30 years. I am really to young to draw social security and belong to a growing group of men in the same situation. We believe this is an opportunity for the church to spread the message of the gospel and hope for today. I like what one man told his class, "well I have a new job, I don't know where but I know God does". We are thinking of calling our ministry the "New Job" ministry. People today are not unlike the people in Nehemiah's day. Hope is in big demand right now and we are the people of hope, we have the source of Hope living in us , the Lord Jesus Christ. Think about ways you can join in giving hope to this group in your church. Who knows you may wake up and be their newest prospect.
